About BURNIE (Your Coach)
All coaching messages are pre-written and stored within the app. BURNIE's "personality" runs entirely on your device—no external AI services, no data sent anywhere. Your workout data is never transmitted to generate messages or notifications.
Permissions We Request
Notifications
- Purpose: To send you daily reminders at your chosen time (BURNIE calling you out)
- Control: You can grant or deny this permission in iOS Settings
- Data: Notification content (BURNIE's messages) is generated locally on your device
- Timing: You choose when BURNIE reminds you; we don't decide for you
No Other Permissions Required
BURNIE does not request access to:
- Your contacts
- Your location
- Your camera or photos
- Your microphone
- Your calendar
- Your health data (HealthKit)
- Any other device features
Data Security
- All data is stored securely using Apple's built-in encryption
- Data is protected by your device's passcode/biometric authentication

Data Retention and Deletion
- Your data remains on your device until you delete it
- You can delete individual workouts at any time
- The app includes a "Clear All Data" option for complete deletion
- Deleting the app will permanently remove all your data from your device
- Scheduled notifications are automatically removed when you delete the app
- We cannot recover your data once it's deleted
Data Export
- You can export your workout history as Markdown (.md) files
- Exported files are readable in apps like Notion, Obsidian, or any text editor
- Exports are generated on-device and saved to your Files app
- You control where exported files are saved and who can access them
Children's Privacy
BURNIE does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is designed for general fitness tracking and does not require age verification.
